Species Deer
That is the only domesticated species of deer?

The reindeer. The name comes from the fact that they are used to pull sleds, and therefore are led by the reins. I'm not sure what Jim meant by "they are not actually a kind of deer" – are indeed a species of deer, as they belong to the family deer, Cervidae. Reno is the name used in Europe whereas in North America are called caribou, but remains the same animal – reindeer and caribou are just two different common names for the species known scientifically as Reindeer common names, puma Similarly, puma and mountain lion are different for Puma concolor.
